Nourish your inner goddess review and giveaway *CLOSED*

CLOSED

"With 12 grams of protein -- twice that found in leading yogurts-- new Yoplait Greek nourishes from the inside out. Available in four delicious flavors, Strawberry, Bluebe

If you're interested in trying Yoplait Greek Yogurt right away, you can print a $.30/1 coupon here.

Recently I had the opportunity to review two flavors of the new Yoplait Greek yogurt. I chose the strawberry and honey vanilla.

I tried the strawberry and my brother tried the honey vanilla. Now typically I love yogurt....but I personally wasn't crazy about the greek yogurt. It was not as sweet and the texture was thicker and creamier. It wasn't nasty to me...just not as good as regular yogurt.

My brother on the other hand loved it.

To celebrate its new Greek yogurt and to encourage women to nourish their inner goddess, Yoplait has teamed up with actress Izabella Miko, who plays Greek Goddess Athena in the epic adventure new Warner Bros. Pictures´ and Legendary Pictures´ film "Clash of the Titans," in theatres April 2 in 3D.

Yoplait and MyBlogSpark gave me a "Nourish Your Inner Goddess" gift pack, and they'd also like to give one to a lucky  reader of
Blonde Moms!  The gift pack is spa-themed, and includes everything shown below, including two coupons for a free Yoplait Greek Yogurt.

(Note: This coupon offer for a free cup of Yoplait Greek yogurt is not valid in some states, including California, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, and Tennessee. )

Didn't I Feed You Yesterday by Laura Bennett Review and Giveaway

You have no idea how excited I was to get the chance to read this book.

Okay, what really made me excited is that I got to email back and forth with Laura Bennett, from Season 3 of Project Runway. I'm a total fan and remember being jealous of how fabulously glamorous she was on the show, even though she was pregnant with baby #6 at the time(and boy #5).

Her book, Didn't I Feed You Yesterday? had me cracking up. Hubs kept asking me, "What? What?"

Parenting, marriage, fashion, how she does it all as a working mother, and a little about the show are all in her book.

She asserts that with all the information out there these days on the internet and in the media about how we should be parenting, "These unrealistic goals have created a population of neurotic mothers whose neurotic kids inevitably end up at my house on a playdate."

Lord save us from the motherbitches.

Her approach to parenting is described as laissez-faire and she's earned the moniker "bad mommy" which she takes in stride and even uses as part of her twitter handle.

She recommends finding friends with similar parenting styles. So true. I feel like I could go show up with my three boys and let her manny help keep them entertained while I drink with her and we'd tell our kids not to bother us unless there's blood...and even then, only if it's serious bleeding.

All of the boys(that would be 8, if you're keeping track) would be zooming around on things with various numbers of wheels, playing video games, creating guns out of whatever they could find, and snacking away. Because that's what boys do.  My 3 year old pointed to the cover of her book as I was reading and insisted, "Mommy, I get skateboard for my birthday."  Laura would probably laugh and hand him one of her boys' boards.

When I dropped my oldest off for preschool, I was the only mom not in tears and whose child ran into the classroom, yelling that I could leave, I looked around a little guiltily...but Laura wouldn't have been crying either; after all, there's more kids at home. Yes, I totally feel like I know her enough after reading this book that I call her by her first name.

Helicopter parents might not appreciate her style of parenting, but I could totally relate. Especially with all her talk of raising boys. Why don't boys keep their pants on? And really, does the penis-grabbing have to start so young?

I'd love to have her take me shopping or honestly, have her design something for me. Like a go-to little black dress. I need help to get out of the frumpy mom zone, where she throws on a fabulous dress or tailored trousers, heels, and bright red lipstick.

This quote make me cringe a little, since I tend to use money as an excuse: "Style is not about money. Does my style say my kids have taken over my life and I haven't had sex in decades? Or does it say I'm fabulous, and these boys are going to have a hell of a time finding a girl like dear old Mom?"

Oh, I'm so guilty. Teach me, Laura! Seriously, Bravo, can't you come up with a show "Frumpy to Fabulous" and have it feature Laura teaching us moms how to rock it out style-wise? I volunteer to be the guinea pig for the pilot episode.

There's a little of everything in this book and you'll find yourself laughing and agreeing or even learning something.

You know how moms get ignored as they give birth to their third, fourth, etc. child? Show up with the gift of this book and a bottle of wine and the new mom will love you forever.

You have a chance to win an autographed copy of Didn't I Feed You Yesterday? To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment. Giveaway will close this Saturday at 9pm EST.

Be sure to check out Things I Can't Say tomorrow, when I have my very first guest poster on my blog: Laura Bennett will share her tips for survival with us!

Welcome!

Welcome to The Blonde Moms: Giveaways and Reviews!

Lisa and I love doing product reviews and giveaways, but we worried that they were starting to take over our blogs.  After all, we started blogging because we wanted to write and love the friendships we've made.

We were each thinking of starting a separate blog for these things, but then thought: hey, why not create a blog together?

As an added bonus to you, our readers, you'll now be able to access two different bloggers' giveaways on the same blog!  When we have new giveaways, we will have links at the tops of our main blogs. The only difference for you is that you will be directed here instead of to another post on our main blogs.

We hope that you will enjoy this new format!
