BZZAgent…COVERGIRL SHADOWBLAST AND SHINEBLAST review and coupon giveaway

ShineBlast Lip gloss

Smoky ShadowBlast Eye Shadow

I recently became a Bzz agent and last week I received some Covergirl makeup to review and some coupons for $2 off ANY covergirl makeup to share. I received the Smokey shadow blast in silver sky and the Shineblast lip gloss in Fire.

I LOVE makeup..I wear it almost every day. I normally don't use the cream eyeshadows because they get in the crease of my eyelids and drive me crazy. I really didn't have this problem with this eyeshadow. Although it did fade a little, The colors blended really well together.
I do like it and will probably purchase some when I run out.

The lip gloss I did love! It didn't feel like I had a ton of grease on my lips and I hate that. It says shine blast and they don't lie! You get a ton of shine out of it! Another thing I don't like in a lipgloss is taste..I will eat it off! This shineblast doesn't have
a taste to me. I would recommend this
product!

Are you a Bzzagent? Wanna be?

When you sign up for BzzAgent, you'll get the opportunity to join our word-of-mouth campaigns. As part of the Bzz Campaign, you will:

-Get free samples to try yourself
-Help friends discover neat stuff by sharing your opinion
-Influence the brand with your honest feedback

Plus, sometimes you'll often get free product samples for your friends, too.

You can check out the current campaigns and sign up HERE.

I have 3 coupons for $2 off any Covergirl makeup and will be randomly picking 3 commenters to send them to. You don't have to do anything except comment...unless you want 2 extra entries which you can get by tweeting about this giveaway. Be sure to use @blondemoms and @kssnnikkel in tweet.

I was suppose to put a picture of me wearing the makeup on here...I have worked all day so excuse the tired haggard look! I did reapply the lipgloss for the picture.

Giveaway ends Monday the 24th at midnight.

I’m a BzzAgent who received this kit for free to test and discuss.  My opinion is my own.  You can learn more about BzzAgents and BzzCampaigns atwww.bzzagent.com.

Life, In Spite of Me *book review*

Life, In Spite of Me is a biography about extraordinary hope after a fatal choice. It is written by Kristen Jane Anderson and Tricia Goyer.
I have to say this was one of the best inspirational stories I have EVER read. It is a very uplifting and encouraging read that had me crying more than once. This is another story of the miracles God can do and the people He can use. I highly recommend this book for everybody but especially for young people who might think they have nothing to live for.
On a scale from 1-10 this book is definitely a 10!

She wanted to die. God had other plans.

Why does my life have to be so painful?
What’s wrong with me?
It’s not going to get better.
It could all be over soon, and then I won’t hurt anymore.

Kristen Anderson thought she had the picture-perfect life until strokes of gray dimmed her outlook: three friends and her grandmother died within two years. Still reeling from these losses, she was raped by a friend she thought she could trust. She soon spiraled into a seemingly bottomless depression.

One January night, the seventeen-year-old decided she no longer wanted to deal with the emotional pain that smothered her. She lay down on a set of cold railroad tracks and waited for a freight train to send her to heaven…and peace.

But Kristen's story doesn’t end there.

In Life, In Spite of Me this remarkably joyful young woman shares the miracle of her survival, the agonizing aftermath of her failed suicide attempt, and the hope that has completely transformed her life, giving her a powerful purpose for living.

Her gripping story of finding joy against all odds provides a vivid and unforgettable reminder that life is a gift to be treasured.

Includes notes of encouragement Kristen wishes she had received when she was struggling most.

I didn't get a copy of this book for a giveaway but if anyone is interested in reading a slightly used hard copy let me know in the comments and I will draw a name on May 28th.

This book was provided for review by the WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group

Tooth Soap Giveaway: 2 Winners!

Did you hear the buzz on twitter on Wednesday night about Toothsoap®?

Toothsoap® is an all-natural alternative to toothpaste. It cleans oils and other items off the teeth quickly leaving them perfectly clean and leaves teeth ready to re-mineralize from nutrients in your diet.

It's also non-toxic and doesn’t need a warning label. When my youngest got into my bathroom without me noticing, opened up a new bottle of it and spilled it all over the place, himself included, I didn't have to worry about calling poison control! I was a little upset because I'd only used that bottle for a few days and it was all gone after that, but I'm glad that was the least of my worries.

We have tried the Peppermint and Passion Fruit flavors. Hubs is a Passion Fruit fan and I love the Peppermint. I admit that getting used to putting a small amount in your mouth and then brushing took just a little bit of getting used to. Hubs was especially skeptical. But, even my cynical husband is now a total convert after using it for about a month.

In addition to the many flavors available in Tooth Soap®, there is also a Tooth Swish and a Tooth Brightener available. I noticed a difference after the very first time that I tried the Tooth Brightener! I was thrilled to be able to try these products before offering you a giveaway!

You can watch this video for more information. There's a half-off coupon code at the end of it. ;)

You can buy Toothsoap® HERE.

OR, you can win a set of Tooth Soap®, Tooth Brightener, and Tooth Swish! Approximately a $70 value!

There will be TWO winners!

To enter:

Mandatory entry: Tell me why you want to try ToothSoap®. Easy!

Nourish your inner goddess review and giveaway *CLOSED*

CLOSED

"With 12 grams of protein -- twice that found in leading yogurts-- new Yoplait Greek nourishes from the inside out. Available in four delicious flavors, Strawberry, Bluebe

If you're interested in trying Yoplait Greek Yogurt right away, you can print a $.30/1 coupon here.

Recently I had the opportunity to review two flavors of the new Yoplait Greek yogurt. I chose the strawberry and honey vanilla.

I tried the strawberry and my brother tried the honey vanilla. Now typically I love yogurt....but I personally wasn't crazy about the greek yogurt. It was not as sweet and the texture was thicker and creamier. It wasn't nasty to me...just not as good as regular yogurt.

My brother on the other hand loved it.

To celebrate its new Greek yogurt and to encourage women to nourish their inner goddess, Yoplait has teamed up with actress Izabella Miko, who plays Greek Goddess Athena in the epic adventure new Warner Bros. Pictures´ and Legendary Pictures´ film "Clash of the Titans," in theatres April 2 in 3D.

Yoplait and MyBlogSpark gave me a "Nourish Your Inner Goddess" gift pack, and they'd also like to give one to a lucky  reader of
Blonde Moms!  The gift pack is spa-themed, and includes everything shown below, including two coupons for a free Yoplait Greek Yogurt.

(Note: This coupon offer for a free cup of Yoplait Greek yogurt is not valid in some states, including California, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, and Tennessee. )

To enter,
please leave a comment on this post telling me which flavor of Yoplait Greek Yogurt you would most like to try.  (You must do this to enter.)  For extra entries, you may do any or all of the following.

Didn't I Feed You Yesterday by Laura Bennett Review and Giveaway

You have no idea how excited I was to get the chance to read this book.

Okay, what really made me excited is that I got to email back and forth with Laura Bennett, from Season 3 of Project Runway. I'm a total fan and remember being jealous of how fabulously glamorous she was on the show, even though she was pregnant with baby #6 at the time(and boy #5).

Her book, Didn't I Feed You Yesterday? had me cracking up. Hubs kept asking me, "What? What?"

Parenting, marriage, fashion, how she does it all as a working mother, and a little about the show are all in her book.

She asserts that with all the information out there these days on the internet and in the media about how we should be parenting, "These unrealistic goals have created a population of neurotic mothers whose neurotic kids inevitably end up at my house on a playdate."

Lord save us from the motherbitches.

Her approach to parenting is described as laissez-faire and she's earned the moniker "bad mommy" which she takes in stride and even uses as part of her twitter handle.

She recommends finding friends with similar parenting styles. So true. I feel like I could go show up with my three boys and let her manny help keep them entertained while I drink with her and we'd tell our kids not to bother us unless there's blood...and even then, only if it's serious bleeding.

All of the boys(that would be 8, if you're keeping track) would be zooming around on things with various numbers of wheels, playing video games, creating guns out of whatever they could find, and snacking away. Because that's what boys do.  My 3 year old pointed to the cover of her book as I was reading and insisted, "Mommy, I get skateboard for my birthday."  Laura would probably laugh and hand him one of her boys' boards.

When I dropped my oldest off for preschool, I was the only mom not in tears and whose child ran into the classroom, yelling that I could leave, I looked around a little guiltily...but Laura wouldn't have been crying either; after all, there's more kids at home. Yes, I totally feel like I know her enough after reading this book that I call her by her first name.

Helicopter parents might not appreciate her style of parenting, but I could totally relate. Especially with all her talk of raising boys. Why don't boys keep their pants on? And really, does the penis-grabbing have to start so young?

I'd love to have her take me shopping or honestly, have her design something for me. Like a go-to little black dress. I need help to get out of the frumpy mom zone, where she throws on a fabulous dress or tailored trousers, heels, and bright red lipstick.

This quote make me cringe a little, since I tend to use money as an excuse: "Style is not about money. Does my style say my kids have taken over my life and I haven't had sex in decades? Or does it say I'm fabulous, and these boys are going to have a hell of a time finding a girl like dear old Mom?"

Oh, I'm so guilty. Teach me, Laura! Seriously, Bravo, can't you come up with a show "Frumpy to Fabulous" and have it feature Laura teaching us moms how to rock it out style-wise? I volunteer to be the guinea pig for the pilot episode.

There's a little of everything in this book and you'll find yourself laughing and agreeing or even learning something.

You know how moms get ignored as they give birth to their third, fourth, etc. child? Show up with the gift of this book and a bottle of wine and the new mom will love you forever.

You have a chance to win an autographed copy of Didn't I Feed You Yesterday? To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment. Giveaway will close this Saturday at 9pm EST.

Be sure to check out Things I Can't Say tomorrow, when I have my very first guest poster on my blog: Laura Bennett will share her tips for survival with us!

Welcome!

Welcome to The Blonde Moms: Giveaways and Reviews!

Lisa and I love doing product reviews and giveaways, but we worried that they were starting to take over our blogs.  After all, we started blogging because we wanted to write and love the friendships we've made.

We were each thinking of starting a separate blog for these things, but then thought: hey, why not create a blog together?

As an added bonus to you, our readers, you'll now be able to access two different bloggers' giveaways on the same blog!  When we have new giveaways, we will have links at the tops of our main blogs. The only difference for you is that you will be directed here instead of to another post on our main blogs.

We hope that you will enjoy this new format!
